At PetVet.Ai, we are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring the highest level of security for your personal data. This Privacy Policy applies to the PetVet AI website at petvet.ai and to the PetVet AI 24/7 Pet Health Care mobile app for Android and iOS, and it outlines our practices regarding the collection, use, retention, and safeguarding of your data in compliance with the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. What Information We Collect

User Information

When you create an account with PetVet.Ai, we collect the following information:

• Your name
• Your email address
• Your phone number
• Your password

You can choose to create an account using your Google or Facebook account. In such cases, we will receive your profile information from these platforms.

Pet Information

We also collect information about your pet(s) to provide personalized veterinary advice. This includes:

• Your pet's name
• Your pet's age
• Your pet's breed
• A picture of your pet

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We may share your data with service providers who assist us in providing our services, such as hosting providers or customer service platforms. These providers are contractually obligated to keep your data secure and use it only for the purposes we specify.

To generate the veterinary guidance in our AI chat, the content of your chat messages and the pet profile details relevant to that conversation are sent to our AI provider, OpenAI, which processes them on our behalf in order to return a response. OpenAI does not use this content to train its models.

We may also disclose your information where we are required to do so by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users or of PetVet.Ai.

5. How Long We Keep Your Data

We keep your personal data only for as long as your account remains active, or for as long as is needed to provide the services and fulfil the purposes described in this Policy. Our retention periods are:

• Account information (your name, email address, phone number, password, and any profile details we receive when you sign in with Google or Facebook) is retained while your account is active, and is deleted when you delete your account.
• Pet profiles (your pet's name, age, type, breed, and photo) are retained until you delete the pet or delete your account, whichever happens first.
• AI chat conversations about your pet are retained for as long as the related pet profile exists, so that you can review your history. They are deleted together with that pet profile, or when you delete your account.
• One-time verification codes used for sign-in and password reset are short-lived: they are discarded once they expire or have been used, and in any case when you delete your account.
• Correspondence with our support team is kept for up to 2 years after your last contact with us so that we can answer follow-up questions.
• Records we are legally required to keep, such as transaction and billing records for paid subscriptions and security and fraud-prevention logs, are retained only for as long as applicable law requires, and are then deleted or anonymized.

We do not retain your personal data for any longer than is necessary for the purposes described in this Policy. Once a retention period ends, we delete the data or irreversibly anonymize it so that it can no longer be linked to you.

6. How to Delete Your Account and Your Data

You can delete your account, and the personal data associated with it, at any time from within the PetVet.Ai mobile app: open the menu, tap "Delete Account", and confirm.

Deleting your account permanently removes your account record, all of your pet profiles, all AI chat conversations linked to those pets, and any outstanding verification codes from our systems. This action cannot be undone.

If you cannot access the app, you can ask us to delete your account by emailing email-privacy@petvet.ai or by submitting a privacy request here. We will verify your identity and complete your request within 30 days. We may keep a limited record of the request itself, and any data we are required by law to retain, for the periods described in Section 5.

7. Your Rights Under CCPA and GDPR

Under the CCPA and GDPR, you have certain rights regarding your personal data. These include:

• The right to know what personal data we collect, use, disclose, and sell
• The right to delete personal data we have collected or maintained
• The right to opt-out of the sale of your personal data
• The right to non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights
